I just loosen the hose clamps and rotate the assembly up and out of the way, then I temporarily velcro some foam rubber over the hose clamp screws just so they don't wear a hole in the sail during car-rack travel. It needs to be rotated upward when stowing the strut because it blocks the strut from folding flat against the LE. This assembly stays permanently on the glider. I placed a piece of inner tube around the Leading edge (LE) so that the wood wasn't right against the LE tubing (Carbon Fiber LE on the T2C), I took one of the GOPRO shoe mounts (female) and put it on top of the wood block and secured the stack (shoe mount on wood, wood on inner tube, inner tube on LE) with two automotive hose clamps.
